AT&T: Blackberry 8700G via USB: Windows

These instructions will guide you to set up your Internet connection in your Laptop using Blackberry 8700G.

1. On the PC, connect the USB cable from the USB port to the side of the handset. Windows will detect the handset and install the drivers from the driver CD provided with your handset.
2. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel and then double click on the Phone and Modem Options icon and choose the Modems tab.
3. Go to Advanced tab after clicking once on the Standard Modem and click on Properties.
4. Type at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”isp.cingular” in the Extra initialization commands field.
5. Click on OK to complete the setup.

6. From the Network Connection field click on “Create new Connection” then go for Manual Set up and choose dial up modem option for connection.

7. After checking the Standard Modem option enter the default Phone number which is *99# and then enter ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM as User ID and CINGULAR1 and then click on Finish.
