Nokia N81,N82,N95,N73 to a Mac Via Bluetooth

Now, copy the files into Library:Modem Scripts.

Then head to Network Preferences and select Bluetooth from the second drop down menu. In the Service Provider, put something descriptive like Mobile. Add the Access Point Name (APN) by your network provider as your phone number. Then enter the username and password. As a T-Mobile USA subsciber, I enter internet2.voicestream.com as my telephone number, and left the username and password empty.

In the Bluetooth Mode tab, pick the modem that you downloaded from above. I chose Nokia 3G CID1 script. Disable error correction and uncheck the wait for dial tone setting. Check the Show modem status in menu bar so you can connect to the modem quickly.

Also make sure that under the TCP/IP tab, Using PPP is selected.

That’s it! Hit Apply Now.

To connect to the internet, now all you have to do is click the phone icone on your top right corner and press connect.

Now you can blog during long commutes on the train, on a passenger seat on a long road trip, or in a hotel without wifi connection!
