Setup Dialup Connection:
- Install Bluetooth adapter to your computer.
- Windows XP SP2 will install automatically for many Bluetooth adapters.
- Otherwise follow the installation instructions for your adapter.
- Pair phone to computer.
- Once paired computer will usually install modem automatically.
- Next set up a new connection.
- Control Panel
- Network Settings
- Network connections
- Create a New Connection
- Click Next
- Connect to the Internet
- Set up my connection manually
- Dial up modem
- Select the previously installed Bluetooth modem
- Give your connection a name
- Phone number is *99#
- Leave name and password blank
Enter Init String for your data plan
- Go to Control Panel
- Phone and Modems
- Select Modems Tab
- Highlight your Bluetooth modem
- Select Properties
- Select Advance
- Enter at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,“YOUR APN“
Now u can access internet on your phone.


One modification to above instructions
here in the richmond area, i had to use a different initiation string shown in step 7 above
instead of at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,“YOUR APN“
i used what the string that my motorola krzr (setup by tmobile) used:
at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”internet3.voicestream.com”
if you don’t have an earlier phone from your carrier set up for web access, then simply ask a friend to connect his to his computer and pull up the initiation string
